Built inside a publishing house that still runs on it.
Marmot Books is a children’s publisher in Sofia: originals and licensed titles, seven people. It sells through its own shop, bookshop chains, book fairs and school visits. One of its owners was the one who knew where everything was. He built Editera so he wouldn’t have to be.

What does it cost?
One price per house, by the number of active titles: Imprint €149, House €249, Press €449 a month. Pay yearly and get two months free. Everyone in your house is included, and so are your authors in their portal. Founding houses get 40% off, locked for 36 months – the first 15 houses, until 31 December 2027.
Is our data safe?
Every house gets its own copy of Editera: its own app and its own database, shared with no one. Backups run every day to a separate place, and we test restoring them. The full picture, including what’s still in progress, is on the Security page.
How do we move in?
Not by CSV. First, twenty minutes of questions about your house. Then we bring your titles in with you – from your spreadsheets, folders and contracts – one at a time, in the order that matters to you. We won’t quote a date before we’ve seen your data. You get a written move-in plan first.
Is it in my language?
Editera runs in Bulgarian at our own house today; the English interface is being built with our founding houses. Other languages come with the houses that need them.
Does it work with our shop and our accounting?
Shopify orders flow in today. Sales from other shops, distributors and bookshops come in from their report files. Your accounting software stays; Editera works alongside it. Not yet: ONIX feeds or a live link to your accounting software. In Bulgaria, tills, couriers and six bookshop chains are already connected.
What if we stop?
Your data is yours. You get a full export [titles, contracts, sales, royalties and files – formats to confirm], and we delete your copy of Editera [within N days – to confirm]. [No exit fee – to confirm.]

Does AI see our authors’ personal data?
Assistants read what a task needs – the month’s sales, a partner’s report – and prepare it for you. They suggest; a person approves. They can’t change royalties, authors or logins. Which AI providers process what, and where, is in our AI policy, published before your house moves in.
